The fully commercial Precor 846i Experience Series recumbent has has durability built in!
It incorporates a magnetic, no-contact 3-phase generator system which provides consistent resistance and reduces the roughness, maintenance, and wear associated with mechanical alternators. It's 25 different resistance settings let users maximize workouts, and range from 18 watts (level 1 at 20 RPM) to 500 watts (level 25 at 100 RPM) & 750 watts (level 25 at 150 RPM). It also has a 3-piece crank tightens positively, reducing the need for periodic adjustments. The 9/16 crank arm accepts any standard road or mountain bike pedal. The double step up drive system yields smooth, comfortable, quiet operation.
The 846i Experience Series recumbent also has 12 engaging and challenging programs, contact heart rate, and Bio-feedback center with SmartRate provides dedicated feedback on heart rate and calories to end users. SmartRate shows actual heart rate in relation to the target zone for weight loss and cardio training. On the fly program changes without losing data, and Tap control provides satisfying tactile and audible click so end users feel confident and safe operating the bike.
It's 3-phase generator/eddy current resistance system requires no backup battery in order to power the bike. A Poly-V belt is used instead of chain which provides a smoother, quieter ride with greatly reduced required maintenance. The distance from seat-back cushion to crank is only 30" to 42.5", and from the front of seat to crank axle: 18"to 30.5", so it can accommodate a number of different heights without sacrificing wither performance, feel or comfort. Larger platform pedals accommodate a wide range of users and are designed with a reversible strap and latch mechanism, they are easy to adjust.
Our 846i "Certified Re-manufactured" Experience Series recumbents have been truly " re-manufactured" to not only look nearly new, but to also operate and be as dependable as a brand new bike. Factory trained and certified technicians have completely rebuilt each bike from the frame up. All worn parts are replaced and all exposed metal parts are repainted. Even every nut, bolt and screw is replaced with new hardware!
Each bike will be in very good cosmetic condition with only minor flaws.
